Offering a sacrifice is highly recommended for those who are capable. Those who cannot find an animal to sacrifice or are not capable of it are recommended to offer its value as charity (sadaqah) instead.

The time of offering a sacrifice begins at sunrise on the day of Eid al-Adha and continues for three days.

The sacrificed animal must either be a camel, cow, or sheep.

It is permissible for a person to sacrifice one animal on behalf of themselves and their family. It is also permissible for a group of people to sacrifice and collectively offer one animal.

It is permissible for the person who sacrifices an animal to allocate a third of it for themselves or to feed their family, just as it is permissible for them to give a third of it to whomever they wish from among Muslims, and based on recommended precaution, one-third of the sacrifice should be offered to poor Muslims.

(2) If a husband does not pay khums, is the wife required to pay it even if she does not work and has no source of income?
1) If you do not know the source of the preservatives in question, you can consider them pure and they are permissible to consume.

2) Your husband is responsible for his khums (i.e., from his earnings). You can encourage and convince him to practice his religious obligation. As far as yourself, you do not have to pay khums unless you gain something that you do not need or do not use for a whole year.

It is not permissible to eat the meat of lawful to eat or muhallal animals without ascertaining that it meets the religious criteria of slaughtering. Hence, if the meat is obtained from a person who is unknown (i.e., to be a Muslim) and it is not possible to ascertain fulfillment of the conditions, then it is not permissible to eat the meat.
